HOW TO GLOW UP USING GLAMIST

GUIDELINES

Let's help you get the best results from your GLAMIST products!

How to apply:

  • Shake the bottle for about 10 seconds.
  • Add 5 – 10 drops to the feeding cup of the Glamist Airbrush.
  • Use the airbrush on the lowest pressure setting for application.
  • Hold the airbrush 15 cm away and start spraying onto your skin.
  • Use a consistent circular motion when applying to ensure full and even coverage.
  • Repeat and spray multiple light layers to obtain more coverage.

How to apply:

  • Shake the bottle for about 10 seconds.
  • Add 2 – 4 drops to the feeding cup of the Glamist Airbrush.
  • Use the airbrush on the lowest pressure setting for application.
  • Hold the airbrush 15 cm away and start spraying onto your skin.
  • Use a consistent circular motion when applying to ensure full and even coverage.
  • Spray lightly over the desired areas of your cheeks for a natural looking flush.

Tips:

  • Applying blush before your foundation results in a subtler blush that lightly shines through the foundation layer.
  • Applying blush after your foundation results in more prominent blushing cheeks.

How to apply:

Begin by selecting a darker colour (e.g. Taupe) and a lighter colour (e.g.

Ivory). Spray the dark colour onto the preferred areas of your eyelids and then spray the light colour onto the areas you would like to highlight (e.g. brow bone). Make sure that the light colour overlaps with the darker colour to create a perfect transition / blending.

Tips:

  • Shake the bottle for about 10 seconds.
  • Add 2 drops of the eyeshadow to the feeding cup of the Glamist Airbrush.
  • Use the airbrush on the lowest pressure setting.
  • Hold the airbrush 15 cm away from your skin.
  • Pull back the lever on the airbrush very slowly, and never more than 90 degrees to achieve a soft, blended look.

Ideal colour use:

  • Ivory – use on eyelid area 1 as well as below the brow bone.
  • Taupe – use on eyelid areas 2 and 4.
  • Rich Brown – use on eyelid area 3.
  • Smoke – use on eyelid area 4 to achieve dark, smoky eyes.

For Eyeliner, you can either use the help of a stencil or do it free hand:

  • Stencil: position the stencil on top of the eyelid and move the airbrush close to spray a more defined pattern.
  • Free Hand: first do the “Airbrush Exercises” provided before attempting it on yourself or a model.

For Eyebrows:

  • Select the preferred eyebrow stencil, from the Glamist Airbrush Stencil set, that best complements your eyebrow’s natural shape.

Position the stencil on top of your eyebrow and spray lightly with either the black or brown Glamist Airbrush Brow Liner to fill in your eyebrows.

How to apply:

  • Shake the bottle for about 10 seconds.
  • Add 1 – 2 drops of Glamist Airbrush Brow Liner to the feeding cup of the Glamist Airbrush.
  • Always spray eyebrows or eyeliners on the lowest pressure setting on the airbrush.
  • Pull back the lever on the Glamist Airbrush very slightly to prevent over spraying, holding the airbrush 15 cm away from your skin.
  • Add more definition with a second or third layer, rather than trying to spray too much product at once.

How to apply:

  • Add 1 – 2 drops of Glamist Airbrush Shimmer to the feeding cup of the Glamist Airbrush.
  • Always apply shimmers using the lowest pressure setting on the airbrush.
  • When mixing a Glamist Airbrush Shimmer into a Glamist Airbrush Eyeshadow or Blusher, first add the colour into your feeding cup and then add 1 – 2 drops of shimmer. Back bubble in order to mix the colour and shimmer before you start spraying.
  • Spray onto skin as per directions for eyeshadow or blush application.

Different methods of use:

  • Use 1 drop of concealer mixed into 2 drops of foundation to conceal a more prominent spot before applying foundation.
  • Use 1 – 2 drops of concealer to neutralise a more prominent spot before applying foundation.
  • Use the airbrush on the lowest pressure setting for application.
  • Hold the airbrush 15 cm away and start spraying onto your skin.
  • Use a consistent circular motion when applying to ensure full and even coverage.

Note: the ideal spray pattern for effective concealing is a soft, dispersed spray and not a clearly defined spot.

Consult the colour guide for help selecting the right colour concealer for your skin tone.

How to apply:

  • Apply a very thin layer on cleansed, moisturised skin by gently tapping the cream a couple of times on desired area.
  • Avoid the use of oil-based makeup products as the oil can reduce its effectiveness.
  • Avoid facial movements for about 5 minutes as the cream works as it is drying.
  • Slight fanning helps to achieve better results.

How to use effectively:

  • Use together with the Glamist Airbrush Kids’ Stencil Sets.
  • Choose the preferred stencil for you child.
  • Make sure to hold the stencil firmly in place when applying the makeup and while the makeup dries to prevent smudging.

How to mix:

  • Add the colours you want mixed to the feeding cup of the Glamist Airbrush, in the desired ratio.
  • Block the nozzle with your index finger and press the lever down and back to activate the airflow. This causes a back bubble in the airflow creating a mixing action within the mixing chamber.

Remove your finger from the nozzle and apply your mixed colour as normal.

  • Make sure the battery of your Glamist Airbrush is fully charged before use – a fully charged battery gives you around 1 hour of use (charging the battery from flat takes around 90 minutes).
  • Apply your Glamist makeup in a well-lit room with good natural lighting, and always in front of a mirror.
  • Always apply Glamist Airbrush makeup on a clean face – clean from oils and cream-based moisturisers. Glamist makeup products contain a primer and several moisturisers, eliminating the need for additional moisturising.
  • It is essential that you shake your Glamist makeup product for at least 10 seconds before each use. This ensures proper mixing of mineral pigments that might have precipitated to the bottom of the bottle; it also improves the coverage and wear.
