Dr. Ronel Hendriks, founder of GLAMIST Cosmetics started the GLAMIST Company in 2016.
Ronel has a PhD in Microbiology and also heads up the Technical division of her and her husband’s Agricultural Companies; ABM Africa and Microbika.
Ronel’s extensive plant knowledge combined with her passion for organic living and interest in water-based makeup, and with the vision and support from her husband, birthed the GLAMIST cosmetic range.
“I first learned about the concept of airbrush makeup on a business trip to the USA in 2014. What attracted me was the oil-free formulation, hygienic air application and natural-looking results. I struggled with acne most of my adult life and had a love-hate relationship with foundation. I ordered my first airbrush right away and fell in love with the results. My husband saw the results I achieved and prompted me to investigate the opportunity of making airbrush technology available to everyday women in South Africa. Our dream for the business is to bring about a makeup revolution!
